The Workshops

All workshops are 90 minutes to 2 hours in length. Covering topics like anatomy, sequencing, arm balancing, back bending, the nervous system, and philosophy, all workshops can count towards CEU credits for Yoga Alliance if registered.

Saturday Workshops

  • Led by Kelly Merydith of Ahimsa Yoga Studio
    Saturday, March 14
    9:00 am - 10:30 am

Sequencing can be one of the hardest and most stressful parts about teaching, especially for newer teachers. In this workshop, we will go over basic sequencing timelines and sections for Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Hatha Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin classes. If your teaching feels stale, we will go over different ways of teaching from class openings, sun salutations, standing sequences, cool down, meditation, and savasana. The goal is to leave you feeling calm and centered, with a class plan that allows you to focus on guiding class, rather than stressing about what comes next.

  • Led by Richard Earney of Midtown Athletic Club
    Saturday, March 14
    9:45 am - 11:15 am

Discover how your breath can transform your physiology and emotional landscape.

Join Richard as he explores the connection between breath, the nervous system, fascia, and emotional regulation — revealing how the body holds and releases tension. You’ll then be guided through a Somatic Breathwork Journey to release, regulate, and reset.

  • Led by Dr. Nolan Lee of Balanced Flow
    Saturday, March 14
    10:45 am - 12:45 pm

Understand and embrace how your body flows. Nolan will take you through common compensatory patterns we see in the yoga room in areas like the foot or ankle, the shoulders, and the core. By identifying the sticky spots, you’ll learn techniques to address the movement patterns in your own body and in your students.

  • Led by Karla Huffman
    Saturday, March 14
    11:30 am - 1:00 pm

A two hour workshop blending Metta meditation, intentional movement, and guided journaling to help you clarify what you want to cultivate next.

You will create a personal and professional plan rooted in compassion, alignment, and embodied wisdom, leaving with renewed focus and clear steps to bring your intentions to life.

  • Led by Hannah Bailey of Embodied Radiance
    Saturday, March 14
    2:15 pm - 3:45 pm

Discover how the Eight Limbs of Yoga can serve as pathways to healing, resilience, and self-awareness. Through movement, reflection, and embodied exploration, this workshop invites you to experience yoga’s therapeutic potential as a living system of coping and transformation — one that can enrich both your personal practice and your teaching.

  • Led by Emily Blackwell
    Saturday, March 14
    4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Yoga, at its core, is an awareness practice.

It's an opportunity to open our attention to what is present within us, and how what is being experienced in our body is being perceived by our minds at any given moment in time. It’s how we get to know

Contrary to popular (and westernized) belief, it’s not just about Asana – although the asanas are portals to embodied self-inquiry and a powerful way for us to get to know ourselves. As a form of meditation, the idea is not to necessarily stop thoughts or thinking altogether, but to use our ability to utilize our minds to watch the interplay between our psychological and our physiological experiences.

This workshop will include a brief, grounding flow and a simple breath practice, through which participants will experience how the body and breath act as first responders to everything we think and feel—and how paying closer attention to these cues becomes a pathway to self-understanding, emotional and nervous system regulation, and the power in conscious, intentional choice.

Sunday Workshops

  • Led by Manny Garcia of The Collective Yoga Co-op
    Sunday, March 15
    9:00 am - 10:30 am

Sequencing got you stuck? Let's get creative! Join Manny for a 90-minute mini-flow and sequencing lecture to develop accessible ladder flows and mandalas. Ladders are a great way to build familiarity and trust with students, while moving in circles around the mat can feel fresh and interesting. We'll break down some key transitions that move you front to back, and workshop sequences in small groups.

  • Led by Cat Koo of Chicago Hot Yoga
    Sunday, March 15
    9:15 am - 11:15 am

This progressive, therapeutic backbending workshop invites yoga teachers and practitioners to explore backward bending as a meditative and healing process that connects body, breath, and awareness. Using the ends of the body—the hands, feet, and head—as anchor points, participants will learn to move from isolated anatomy into full-body connection, cultivating strength and openness through mindfulness.

  • Led by Nicole Belica
    Sunday, March 15
    11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Join in for this experiential journey into the art of the breath — Embodied Breathwork is designed to blend yogic wisdom, somatic exploration, and nervous system science to help you reconnect with your natural rhythms and restore balance from within.

In this class, you’ll learn how to use your breath as both a tool and a teacher — guiding you toward greater regulation, resilience, and presence. Through mindful movement, gentle breath practices, and somatic techniques, we’ll explore how your body communicates, how the nervous system responds, and how to build resilience from the inside out.

This is more than just breathwork — it’s an invitation to listen deeply, to reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence, and to cultivate a grounded sense of calm that supports you beyond the mat.

  • Led by Alison Riazi
    Sunday, March 15
    10:45 am - 12:45 pm

  • Led by Cierra Burton of Zen Yoga Garage
    Sunday, March 15
    2:15 pm - 3:45 pm
